funny moment

Tonight I was driving home and I was stopped (waiting for the light)at the intersection of US-26 and I saw something move in the corner of my eye. I looked over to my left and I see this little black thing. I thought it was trash so I continued to stare glazed over at the forever non changing light. Then I saw it again and I was like what is that?! I stared at it and it started doing circles and then would stop and move again. Once I realized what it was I very surprised. A little black mouse (or brown) was running across four lanes of traffic (going about 55 mph). I thought to my self wow no can tell me rodents aren't smart! haha sorry for the randomness but I thought it was neat and I wanted to share. :) lots of love, Sarah

Sarah's hair cut

Before: Should I cut it? I'm afraid!!
Ah who cares it's just hair!
After shots: The night I discovered curls. lol
Nick likes it as well!
I LOVE it curly! I don't like doing it too often because I burn my neck with the rod!!
This is the back.

So my whole life everyone has always told me to never cut my beautiful blond hair. Over the years it has gradually gotten shorter. I don't think I realized that I always wanted it short but everyone kept me from doing it. So I cut it off. oooops my bad!

Its the thought that counts, right?

I wanted to make Nick a fuzzy hat for Christmas and once I had finished it, it was huge! It looked like a black wig or a purse! We got a good laugh out of it.

I loved playing with it. Doesn't it look like I have black hair? Or maybe I do? haha

Nick was so nice, he said "ah thanks, honey!" The nice guy he is, he would have worn it if I was determined that it looked good! I didn't make him wear it. Besides to take pictures to laugh at!
See how huge this is? I guess that's what happens when you use big needles for this kind of yarn!

I'm new at this..dur

Ok you will have to forgive my last post...it looks terrible! I am still new at this blogging thing. Since I loose my patience trying to fix it is gonna stay or I'll just delete it in frustration. I will try better from here on out!

Ice Fishing at Palasades!

Nick and I decided to go ice fishing this last Saturday. When I say we I actually mean 'me' lol. I have to explain to those that don't know this but I hate being cold. Nick on the other hand loves winter and the coolness. However, we are a strange couple because we sleep with the window open and the heat turned down to 59 degrees every night. This obviously violates everything I have just said. So I have decided that if I can be bundled up in

either a blanket or tons of layers in this case I am ready to rock and roll. As I asked Nick if we could go ice fishing he seemed hesitant because he knows I hate the cold. As the day came closer and closer I was becoming anxious because I love to fish!! YAY! As we rolled out of bed at 6 am with both of us mumbling under our breath, we were ready. Once we arrived at Palisades Dam, I was crazy excited. We basically rolled down the side to the ice and set up camp. A couple actually fell through the ice on the edge and got their boots and legs wet. I felt really bad. Nick also got his feet wet, poor guy, so he was miserably cold. He didn't get much fishing in because he was trying to dry his socks and shoes with the little space heater in the warming hut. I on the other hand had my toes and fingers crossed because dang it, I needed a fish! haha I wanted fish for dinner so badly! I got two nibbles and I thought I was gonna rip the line out of the water without even rolling up my line! Besides getting wet and being cold we both had a great time enjoying the scenery. Two other guys caught a fish each, both a white rainbow averaging around 17 inches long (yeah crazy huh, you can imagine how jealous I was!). As I have already concluded I am getting stuff to go ice fishing on our own. Nick will be joining me when we hook him up with some sweet warm gear. Watch out fish, I have my eye on you! ;)
